The US Adult License course is designed for the experienced coach who has several years of coaching and playing experience. The focus of this course is to improve individual and team performance. This course includes field and classroom instruction on technical, tactical, fitness and team management. It also emphasizes methods of coaching, tactical principals, and understanding how to play in the attacking third, midfield and defensive third. The course will also emphasize on width and depth team shape and the introduction of pressing and zonal defending and more. Designed to meet the changing needs of today’s game, the US Adult License will also serve as preparation for the United States Soccer Federation National School.

US Soccer Federation National Coaching School “C” License

The U.S. Soccer Federation National Coaching School Program provides courses in which coaches can earn nationally certified credentials and take advantage of the opportunities and recognition inherent in the attainment of various levels of coaching expertise, a proven curriculum which improves a coach’s knowledge of the game and valuable information on current coaching trends and international developments in the game.

Certification Process - Coaching certification begins at the state level with introductory courses, which cover the elementary principles of coaching and prepare interested coaches for the US Adult License. All state licenses are non-expiring. National  “C” courses consist of seven days of instruction and two days of extensive oral, written, and practical examinations. The “C” Licenses are non-expiring licenses.

Course Details - Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, and have earned a National “D” License or US Adult License (requires State Instructors authorization) certification held for a minimum of 12 months (attach a copy to application). “D” License or US Adult License certification may be waived under one of the following conditions: Applicant received the NSCAA National Diploma and has held it for a minimum of 12 months. Applicant has three (3) years coaching experience AND three years playing experience with U.S. National Teams or three (3) years professional playing experience.
